So the latest Black Eyed Peas video has dropped and in all honesty we're not really sure what to make of it...We feel it's a bit of a victim to its own ingenuity by mashing together too many different effects and styles to the point that it becomes lost as a succinct and polished video. We expected more colour and certainly less product placement...

Music Video Première - Taio Cruz ft. Kylie Minogue - Higher
Here's the brand new video for the UK version of Taio Cruz's next 'Rokstarr' single, 'Higher.' The video looks very sharp and slick, but once again offers us nothing of substance. But hey, we're used to that with Mr Cruz nowadays. How hot is Kylie looking though?! We wonder if the international video with Travie McCoy will offer up anything more interesting...we don't hold much hope...

Who's On Top? - Keri Hilson Covers Jones Magazine
Keri Hilson has fronted 'Jones' magazine wearing what appears to be a yeti. Interesting choice...but we think we'll stick to normal people's clothes for now.

Meet The Mini Gleeks!
In episode seven of the latest series of Glee, titled 'The Substitute,' we get to meet the younger versions of the Glee cast when teacher Will Schuester falls sick and starts hallucinating. This series literally gets more and more crazy...We also get introduced to Gwyneth Paltrow's cameo character, Holly Holiday, who stands in for Will as the Glee club's substitute. Ahhh...now we see what they did with the title...genius...
Who's On Top? - Ricky Martin Covers Out Magazine
Ricky Martin and a host of other famous US faces have covered the latest issue of 'Out' magazine in their compilation of the 100 most compelling people of 2010 in order to celebrate their 200th issue! Catch a look at his spread below, not terribly creative but at least the strain of raising two children hasn't made him look (too) old yet.
Music Video Première - Rihanna ft. Drake - What's My Name?
Here's the video for Rihanna's next single, 'What's My Name' featuring Drake. It's not really the most inspired video we've ever seen, we much prefer the one which accompanies 'Only Girl (In The World)' but hey, she looks hot and she looks like she's having fun dancing down the street and in the party scene at the end so good for her ;)

Who's On Top? - Nicki Minaj Covers Billboard Magazine
Here's the self branded Barbie of hip-hop on yet ANOTHER cover! Whilst we love the gradual takeover of Miss Minaj, (We can barely go 5 minutes without hearing/reading about/seeing her) we've seen this shot so many times before...we expected more Nicki. Tut.
Music Video Première - Ellie Goulding - Your Song
Here's Ellie Goulding's latest offering from the re-release of her debut album 'Lights' which has been renamed as 'Bright Lights.' The track is a cover of Elton John's 'Your Song' which, whilst we love the track, think is best left in Elton's capable hands...
Who's On Top? - Kanye West Covers i-D Magazine
Well...that's all very 'gangsta' isn't it Mr West? We get that it's all about the bling and the uninterested pout in your game Kanye, but, to be honest...we're not that impressed, despite what your cover might say.
UK Boxoffice Chart Roundup - 12th Nov
New movie ‘Due Date’ has swiped the #1 spot this week right from under the nose of comedy ‘Jackass 3D,’ with its £2.3million haul clearly stripping past ‘Jackass 3D’s £1.69million ticket sales, placing it at #2.
This moves kids’ animation ‘Despicable Me’ down to the #3 spot, yet again taking another week’s strong sales with £1.17 million, which means that since its UK release it has taken over £16million from Britain alone.
Post Halloween, ‘Saw £D’ and ‘Paranormal Activity 2’ fall to the #4 and #5 spots respectively. Other new entries this week come in the form of ‘Let Me In’ which debuts at #8 and ‘Another Year’ a place behind at #9.

UK Midweek Charts Roundup - Friday 12th Nov
So...it’s Friday and Rihanna’s still on top! Could it be possible that Take That’s hoard of middle aged fans will be powerless to topple the Bajan R’n’B Queen? Only time will tell, and we know it’s close, but she only has to last two more days...nail biting stuff eh?
The rest of the top five remains the same with Mcfly, Katy Perry and Adele in that order. However, today we see Mr X Factor 2005 himself Shayne Ward tumble down from #6 to #9, making way for Cheryl Cole, Bruno Mars and Mike Posner to make their way up the charts.
Alexis Jordan rounds off the top ten as yesterday, whilst P!nk is STILL at #12. However, good news for the Black Eyed Peas who, since cracking the top twenty yesterday have shot up to #14 today with ‘The Time (Dirty Bit).
Over on the albums scene, its a Susan Boyle led affair, with Bon Jovi and Cheryl Cole completing the top threesome, followed by our current Star Power artist James Blunt and Kings Of Leon completing the top five. Cee Lo Green comes in at #9 and where's Nadine Coyle, well, we don't know...but she's definitely not in the top 40...
Christina Aguilera - Burlesque Movie Teaser - Express
Here's a teaser from Christina Aguilera's new 'Burlesque' movie and we must say, the 'Cabaret' and 'Chicago' comparisons are more than obvious! On the other hand, she looks amazing and seems to be back on form...let's just hope this movie gives her the boost she needs in 2011!! Oh, in other news, we're too psyched for this film!!
Music Video Première - Jessica Mauboy ft. Ludacris - Saturday Night
Here's the video première of Jessica Mauboy's latest single 'Saturday Night' featuring Ludacris. We love the song but what do you think of the video? It seems a bit cheap but at least the colours have brightened up our winter day :)

Nicki Minaj - Pink Friday Promo Vid
Nicki Minaj's debut LP 'Pink Friday' is on the verge of release and we have here the promotional video designed to crank up the hype. Just watching it reminds us of what she's achieved already and we can't wait to see what else her album has to offer!
UK Midweek Charts Roundup - Thursday 11th Nov
Well...since our very proud post yesterday when we were overjoyed at our correct prediction that the charts were subject to massive changes this week...nothing has in fact happened today. Sucks we know.
Rihanna maintains her hold on the #1 spot, but only by 6,000 sales, so Take That, who currently reside at #2 have a very strong chance of reclaiming that spot before Sunday’s chart. We won’t be at all surprised if they do make it to the top however, considering the hype surrounding them and their much awaited X Factor performance on Sunday evening.
McFly, Katy Perry and Adele are all still sitting comfortably within the top five, with Shayne Ward just outside at #6.
P!nk remains at #12, (We don’t understand why nothing’s happening for her?!) whilst the Black Eyed Peas’ lead single from their latest LP, ‘The Time (Dirty Bit)’ comes in at #19.
Let’s hope for more changes tomorrow...
Music Video Première - Keri Hilson - Pretty Girls Rock
The music video for Keri Hilson's 'Pretty Girls Rock' has been released and it's pretty damn good. We loved all the retro themes and videos showcased in the vid, and we must say, congratulations are in order for Miss Hilson.
Black Eyed Peas - 'The Beginning' Official Album Preview Snippets
Amazon has unveiled the official previews of the Black Eyed Peas' new LP 'The Beginning! Check it out on the link below...
Christina Aguilera To Receive A Star On Hollywood's 'Walk Of Fame'
Next Monday, the voice that is Christina Aguilera will receive one of Hollywood's most prestigious honours by being awarded her very own 'star' on Hollywood Boulevard's 'Walk Of Fame!'
This will come as great news to the teeny songstress who has faced a difficult year this year, after her latest LP 'Bionic' was widely agreed to be a flop and due to her separation from her husband Jordan Bratman.
We definitely think Aguilera has the credentials for a 'star' position, largely cited as one of the most successful female artists of recent times, selling in excess of 30 million albums worldwide, as well as a sting of international #1s and multiple awards.
Now...where did we put our 'Stripped' album...
Music Video Première - will.i.am & Nicki Minaj ft. Cheryl Cole - Check It Out
The video has just been released for the UK version of will.i.am and Nicki Minaj's hook up 'Check It Out,' which will now feature British lovely Cheryl Cole! Whilst the video remains very much the same as the previous version, Cheryl has been edited in and we think it's all the better for it. She is looking HOT!
Labels:
Cheryl Cole,
Music Video Première,
Nicki Minaj,
Will.I.Am
UK Midweek Charts Roundup - Wednesday 11th Nov
Now...didn’t we tell you that anything could happen in this week’s chart?! It looks like we were right with our prediction, as Rihanna has, for the moment, toppled Take That and claimed the #1 spot for herself! That’s right, the Queen of R’n’B has managed to single handedly push the newly reunited five part man band down to #2.
McFly maintain their #3 position, and are therefore on track to claim their 16th top five hit single, (crazy, huh?!) whilst both Katy Perry and Adele rise up one place to complete the top five, due to Shayne Ward’s drop down to #6 with his comeback single.
The rest of the top ten is made up by Cheryl, Bruno, Mike and Alexis, whilst poor old P!nk is stuck in the #12 position with ‘Raise Your Glass.’
Make sure you’re back tomorrow to check who’s at the top and even who’s in the top five...

Keri Hilson - No Boys Allowed Official Album Cover
R'n'B songstress and Timbaland bestie Keri Hilson has unveiled the album artwork for her new LP, 'No Boys Allowed.' Whilst she looks hot and has edged up her style a bit, we're not so sure about the lipstick/cigarette imagery...Good to see that GaGa 'Telephone' tape recycled though.
Avril Lavigne Confirms Musical Comeback
Avril Lavigne has revealed on her official website that she is about to make a music comeback with a brand new album...here's her official statement...
Hey Everyone!
How’s it going?? So… I just wanted to fill you guys in…I’m done with my 4th record!!! Well, actually I have been done for a year… and now my record company have finally decided to release it. OMG..How nice! Thanks guys.
I have been dying to get back out on the road and do what I love the most… PLAY MUSIC. I know you guys have been waiting for a long time…..and so have I, but not by choice. I have been sitting with this record for a year now. It’s really special to me. I have produced a couple tracks alone for the first time, written solo, with friends, I have pushed myself and I feel proud.
In saying all that, this has been a really difficult record for me to create and to release. Not only is this the most meaningful and special record I have written, it is sincere, honest and close to my heart. But for the first time I experienced a bunch of bureaucratic BS. People do their best work when they are doing what they want, love and is natural for them, not when you are forcing them to be something that they are not.
From the beginning of my career my message has always been to be yourself and stand up for what you believe in. Follow your heart.
My first single off this record is called: “What The Hell”. This song is the least personal song to me off this album. It’s a fun and funny anthem. It has a broad message about personal freedom. It is the most pop track on the record.
I am shooting the video in 2 weeks and it will be out in January. I have been extremely busy designing Abbey Dawn and taking the line internationally for the first time, establishing “The Avril Lavigne Foundation” and focusing on my personal happiness and health. Balance!
Love you guys!
xo Avril
So, what do you think? Are you excited about Avril's return? It looks a bit obvious that she's not too thrilled at the choice of lead single, but on the whole it sounds promising :)
Beyoncé Premières Teaser Clip From 'I Am...World Tour' DVD
Well isn't this shaping up to be AMAZING?! We must admit, we do have the slightest soft spot for Queen B although we probably shouldn't let it cloud our judgement...In this clip, Beyoncé performs the Destiny's Child hit 'Say My Name' in her inimitable style. Enjoy...oh, and try not to sing along...
Music Video Première - Jessie J - Do It Like A Dude
There's been a lot of buzz surrounding newcomer Jessie J recently, and hopefully the above clip will show you why. The British singer has plenty of swag and without being told you may have been mistaken for thinking she's an American artist. Keep your eyes (and ears) open for more from this singer songwriter, although we're pretty certain you'll find it hard to stop singing the hook to 'Do It Like A Dude' once you've watched the vid ;-)
Music Video Première - Cee Lo Green - Bright Lights, Bigger City
Cee Lo Green has unveiled the video to the follow up single to 'Forget You,' titled 'Bright Lights, Bigger City.' As much as we like the song, we're a bit disappointed with the vid...pimptastic springs to mind?
P!nk Premières Greatest Hits DVD Trailer
P!nk has premièred a behind the scenes trailer for her new "Greatest Hits" DVD. We can't say it has the same "wow" factor as Beyoncé's, but she does make us laugh which makes up for it. Watch the clip below...
Who's On Top? - Emma Watson Covers Marie Claire
Emma Watson shows off her pixie cut on the cover of Marie Claire, as she prepares to wave goodbye to her character Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movie franchise. We quite like the fresh, springtime feel this cover gives off, especially now it's all dark and cold outside...*sticks on yet another jumper...*
Who's On Top? - Alicia Keys In Vogue Italia
Here's Alicia Keys' spread for the high brow 'Vogue Italia.' We love the range of shots she's done and the composition of the pictures. They're all so interesting and worth a couple of minutes to look at them properly, it is 'Vogue' after all...
Who's On Top? - 30 Seconds To Mars In YRB Magazine
30 Seconds To Mars have graced the pages of 'YRB' magazine in a futuristic spread which reminds us a little of something the Black Eyed Peas would do, especially in terms of their costume. Also, do you think someone wants us to check out their abs?

US Boxoffice Chart Roundup - 9th Nov
The DreamWorks powerhouse has prevailed once again with its latest animated offering, ‘Megamind.’ Starring stars such as Brad Pitt and Will Ferrell, the superhero movie took $47.7million in ticket sales in its opening weekend.
Debuting in second place is Todd Phillip’s latest movie ‘Due Date,’ which follows Robert Downey Jr and Zach Galifianakis’ characters on a road trip of America. Completing this week’s top three is the new movie adaptation of ‘For Coloured Girls’ which also sells strongly with just over $20million.
‘Saw 3D’ falls from #1 to #5, just behind the Bruce Willis starring ‘RED’ at #4.
Further down the chart we see much of last week’s middle placing movies, with ‘Paranormal Activity 2’ at #6, ‘Jackass 3D’ at #7, ‘Hereafter’ at #8, ‘Secretariat’ at #9 and ‘The Social Network’ rounding off at #10

9. (6) Secretariat - $4,000,000
10. (7) The Social Network - $3,600,000
UK Midweek Charts Roundup - Tuesday 9th Nov
So...another week...another #1 by the looks of things, as the newly whole Take That take to the top spot with their latest single ‘The Flood,’ selling 34,000 copies. Rihanna isn’t too far behind though, currently taking the #2 spot with almost 32,000 sales this week.
McFly’s newest offering ‘Shine A Light,’ featuring Taio Cruz, is standing at #3 at the moment, with just over 23,000 copies of their single sold, whilst Shayne Ward rides high after his X Factor performance at #4 with 18,000 sales. Katy Perry is completing the top 5, but as you can see, it’s a close neck thing...
Adele has risen into the top 10 yet AGAIN after Rebecca Ferguson’s heart rendering performance of ‘Make You Feel My Love’ on Saturday’s main X Factor show, whilst Cheryl Cole falls to #7 with ‘Promise This.’
Elsewhere we see P!nk’s greatest hits single ‘Raise Your Glass’ hovering outside the top 10 at #12, ahead of The Saturdays at #15.
Over on the albums chart, we see Susan Boyle’s reigning with her sophomore effort ‘The Gift,’ which has racked up 30,000 sales, and is followed by Bon Jovi, Cheryl Cole, James Blunt and Kings Of Leon in that order.
Seeing as it’s all quite close at the moment, make sure you tune back tomorrow for your next update ;)
Who's On Top? - Nicki Minaj On BlackMen SSX Tribute Magazine
Here we have Nicki Minaj cranking up the sex factor in her latest shoot, and whilst we love the crazy hip-hop princess, we feel that there's just too much boob going on?!
Beyoncé Premières Extended "I Am...World Tour" Trailer
Are you excited about the November 25th release of this tour DVD? Because we most certainly are! The trailer gives us shivers seeing fast paced shots of the international superstar strutting her stuff. The DVD will also boast behind the scenes intimate footage of Queen B sharing her thoughts and adventures as she jets around the globe. Can't WAIT!
Who's On Top? - Eminem Covers Rolling Stone Magazine
Here's Eminem's cover of 'Rolling Stone' magazine. We love the brilliance of the shadowed face, it's really quite striking.
Who's On Top? - JLS Cover Bliss Magazine
The stars of JLS have fronted two alternative 'Bliss' magazine covers, again trading in on the "collect them all" idea. Both covers have been "autographed" but really we can only see these appealing to their obsessed fans...they're not really imaginative now are they?
Monday, 8 November 2010
Who's On Top? - Lady Gaga Covers Glamour (Fra)
Lady GaGa has donned a shocking pink Nicki Minaj-esque wig for her cover shoot with French 'Glamour.' Whilst she looks pretty, we're always expecting more from her now...
UK Singles Chart - 7th November 2010
So chart people, it looks like we predicted correctly when we said last week that Rihanna would jump up to #1 this week after her X Factor performance as she easily outstrips the competition with 134,540 sales of ‘Only Girl (In The World).’
This move puts Cheryl Cole down to #2, with 77,452 copies of ‘Promise This’ sold this week, just ahead of newcomer Alexis Jordan, who’s debut ‘Happiness’ shows strong sales of 60,153.
This week we also see Katy Perry making her way back up the charts to #4, possibly to do with the fact that her track ‘Firework’ coincided with the UK’s bonfire/firework season. She was close to moving into third place this week, but was stopped by only around 2,000 sales.
Elsewhere we see a close call for the #10 spot, with The Saturdays just clinching it ahead of will.i.am and Nicki Minaj. Leaping up the chart by 12 places, The Saturday’s collaboration with Flo Rida sold 32,499 copies, whilst the American powerhouse duo shifted 32,441. Although we must bear in mind The Saturdays have already sold 125,054 copies of ‘Higher’ altogether!
Further down the chart we see Nadine Coyle debut within the top 30...not great news for such a hyped solo career. Her single ‘Insatiable’ only racked up 11,392 sales in its first week, and we’re not totally sure why seeing as she undertook a wide promotional campaign and the single is actually good!
Full chart below:
1. (2) Rihanna: ‘Only Girl (In The World)’
2. (1) Cheryl Cole: ‘Promise This’
3. (-) Alexis Jordan: ‘Happiness’
4. (6) Katy Perry: ‘Firework’
5. (4) Cee Lo Green: ‘Forget You’
6. (3) Bruno Mars: ‘Just The Way You Are’
7. (5) Mike Posner: ‘Cooler Than Me’
8. (8) Nelly: ‘Just A Dream’
9. (7) Duck Sauce: ‘Barbra Streisand’
10. (22) The Saturdays ft. Flo Rida: ‘Higher’
2. (1) Cheryl Cole: ‘Promise This’
3. (-) Alexis Jordan: ‘Happiness’

X Factor Week 5 Performances
Cher Lloyd gave a cool, if somewhat gimmicky, performance of 'Empire State Of Mind'
Mary Byrne with a slightly wobbly performance of Faith Hill's 'There You'll Be.'
Katie Waissel singing 'Don't Speak.'
Aiden Grimshaw with an understated performance of 'Nothing Compares 2 U'
Paije Richardson mashed up 'I'm A Believer' with 'Hey Ya.'
Rebecca Ferguson gave a flawless version of 'Make You Feel My Love.'
Wagner gave yet another crazy performance with 'Viva Las Vegas' mashed with 'The Wonder Of You'
Matt Cardle gave a hugely acclaimed performance of 'The First Time (Ever I Saw Your Face)'
Treyc Cohen looked stunning whilst performing 'Don't Wanna Miss A Thing.'
One Direction gave an upbeat performance of 'Kids In America.'
