‘The Social Network’ has managed to keep its position at the summit of the US Boxoffice for the second week taking $15.5million, almost $1million more than its closest rival and new entry at #2, ‘Life As We Know It,’ staring Katherine Heigl.
‘Secretariat,’ Disney’s big butget picture, is another new release at #3, taking a reasonable $12.6million in ticket sales. As a result of these new entries, ‘Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga’Hoole’ slips to #4, marginally ahead of third new entry ‘My Soul To Take 3D.’
Both ‘The Town’ and ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ have fallen out of the top 5, the first time since September for ‘Wall Street,’ and they take the #6 and #7 places respectively. Finally, the last new entry to the top 10 this week, ‘Case 39,’ opens at #9 with $2.6million.
