The Australian Boxoffice is looking decidedly different to our own, with fantasy flick ‘The Last Airbender’ by M. Night Shyamalan sitting comfortably at the top as a new entry, taking $2.7million, pushing last week’s #1, animated comedy ‘Despicable Me’ down to second place with $2.2 million in ticket sales.
British Boxoffice topper ‘The Other Guys’ falls to #3 whilst high school comedy ‘Easy A,’ starring Emma Stone enters the chart at #5. The final new entry to the chart lies with kids’ movie ‘Cats & Dogs: The Revenge Of Kitty Galore’ which sits a #7.
International blockbusters ‘Salt,’ starring Angelina Jolie and ‘Inception,’ starring Leonardo DiCaprio fall to #8 and #9 respectively.
