News Bites - 7pm

  • Show bosses for the UK ITV show 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here' are apparently desperate to sign up Jenny Thompson, the prostitute with whom England football star Wayne Rooney paid for sex whilst his wife Coleen was pregnant, to take part in the latest season of the jungle reality programme. She is allegedly desperate to appear on the show and has promised to be extremely candid about the details of the sordid affair. A source has stated that "The top brass are desperate to get her. Imagine her talking about Wayne's bedroom habits on live television. It'll be must-see TV." The producers are also said to be keen to sign up Rhian Sugden, a follow kiss-and-tell 'celeb' who was linked to Vernon Kay after it emerged that the pair had been exchanging 'sex texts.' Looks like 'I'm A Celeb' is scraping the barrel even more than usual this year.

  • Another duo with a feud next, the infamous mutual hatred between X Factor star Dannii Minogue and her ex fellow judge, the ever feisty Sharon Osbourne. Finally it looks as if someone's attempting to take the high ground as opposed to just scoring points. Dannii has spoken out about rumours that Sharon is to return to aide Louis Walsh select the contestants for his category at the 'judges' houses' stage of the competition, insisting that she is welcome back to the show. Minogue admitted that Osbourne has played a huge role in the development of the show and that it would be unfair to not acknowledge that. However, don't think this means she's ready to put the past behind them, saying "Sharon is welcome any time - just not in my dressing room." Come on ladies...get over it and put the claws away.

  • Serial arrestee Lindsey Lohan has been granted a $300,000 bail after her lawyer set up an appeal on the ground of harsh treatment. This news comes after the revelations that Li-Lo admitted to failing more than one drug test which she was required to pass in order to keep herself free from jail. Speaking on her official twitter account, Lohan wrote "Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away overnight. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps." Lindsey must now wear an alcohol monitoring device at all times and allow police to search her whenever requested. She will return to court on 22nd October. By the look of the snaps above, there are cheaper ways to get some passport pics done...

  • The aftermath of prostitute Irma Nici's allegations that David Beckham paid her for sex, (God what is it with these stories atm?) are still being felt, with wife and overall fashionista Victoria Beckham going through "bouts of rage and humiliation." The designer is apparently feeling the strain of people gossiping behind her back and believed that after their move to the USA that these kind of tabloid stories would be left behind. Meanwhile David Beckham has vowed to track down Nici and has ordered his legal team to find her which may result in a landmark case, resulting in the Beckham's being awarded $5million in damages.

  • Die hard fans of vampire series 'The Twilight Saga' should be feeling eternally relieved at news that the series' producer unveiled today. Whilst 'Summit' stayed faithful to the overall story and to the detail of the book, it has been revealed that rival bidders for the franchise, 'Paramount,' were keen to overhaul the story to develop a higher level of action and drama. According to Mark Morgan, the producer of the movies, "...one of their drafts literally had a Korean FBI agent who was hunting and tracking vampires across the coast. There was SWAT in the trees and literally it was like, ‘Red leader, read leader one′, and the vampires were picking them out of the woods. It would have been a different movie." I think we might have had a riot on our hands...
